Alu-Cab Gen 3-R Expedition Tent
Adventure calls for a tent that doesn’t just keep up but leads the way. Hard-shell rooftop tents have revolutionized off-road and overland travel by offering quick setup, maximum comfort, and rugged durability—all packed into a compact form that rides on top of your vehicle. They transform your rig into a fully equipped mobile basecamp, ready to follow wherever your journey takes you.
The Alu-Cab Gen 3-R Expedition Tent stands at the top of this category. Built from aerospace-grade aluminum and premium canvas, it blends robust construction with intelligent design. With features like gas-strut assisted deployment, integrated power ports, and superior insulation, it’s engineered to thrive in every environment—from deserts and high mountains to coastal adventures.
Gen 3-R Expedition Tent
The Gen 3-R Expedition Tent is engineered for serious adventurers who demand reliability from their gear. Built with a lightweight yet rigid aluminum frame, it offers outstanding strength without unnecessary bulk. Its hard-shell profile isn’t just tough—it’s designed to be aerodynamic, reducing drag and wind resistance while driving. The roof is more than a lid; it doubles as a gear platform, capable of carrying kayaks, solar panels, or up to 110 lbs of additional cargo. From rough trails to high-speed highways, this tent maintains stability and performance while keeping your gear safe and secure.
Comfort that Goes Beyond Camping
Camping comfort often means compromise—but not with the Gen 3-R. Inside, you’ll find a 70 mm high-density foam mattress designed to support a full night’s rest, complete with a removable cover for easy cleaning. Thermal efficiency is built into the tent with closed-cell foam insulation on both top and bottom panels, ensuring you stay warm in the cold and cool in the heat. Integrated ventilation and breathable under-mattress mesh reduce condensation, while three access points with mesh and solid panels let you adjust airflow, privacy, and protection from insects. With bedding stored inside, setup takes seconds, so you can spend more time relaxing and less time preparing camp.
Convenience for True Overlanders
Beyond shelter, the Gen 3-R delivers practical convenience for life on the move. Integrated USB and Type-C power ports, pre-wired solar connections, and built-in LED lighting ensure you’re never without power or light. Storage pockets keep essentials organized, while the custom telescopic ladder with wide, angled rungs makes access comfortable—even barefoot. When packed down, the ladder stows neatly inside the tent to save space. And with compatibility for Alu-Cab’s most popular accessories like the 270° Shadow Awning and Shower Cube, your rooftop tent becomes the centerpiece of a complete mobile basecamp. It’s not just a tent—it’s an integrated adventure system designed to keep you comfortable, connected, and ready for whatever the trail brings.
